About the project

I’m developing LEGACIES: Oakville, a realistic third-person, open-world life simulation video game in Unreal Engine 5.8.3. I’m hiring an experienced Unreal Engine environment developer to build the first TWO playable residential neighborhoods for my game. PHASE 1 — TWO RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS Budget: $200–$300 USD Neighborhood 1: Approximately 10–11 realistic American houses Exactly 2 cul-de-sacs Connected residential streets and side roads Sidewalks, driveways, garages, yards, landscaping, streetlights, and a few alleys Neighborhood 2: Approximately 10–11 realistic American houses Exactly 1 cul-de-sac A distinct architectural style and street layout Sidewalks, driveways, garages, yards, landscaping, streetlights, and a few alleys Both neighborhoods should feel spacious, realistic, and naturally designed without being unnecessarily massive. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Fully playable and editable in Unreal Engine 5.8.3 Proper collision for characters and vehicles Connected, realistically scaled roads suitable for driving Third-person exploration and vehicle compatibility Modular buildings and environment assets Optimized for real-time gameplay World Partition compatibility where appropriate Expandable layout for future city development I prefer using proven, high-quality, properly licensed Unreal Engine asset packs and procedural tools to save time and development costs. Custom modeling should only be necessary when suitable assets are unavailable. FINAL DELIVERABLES Both completed residential neighborhoods (20–22 houses combined) Three cul-de-sacs total Functional roads, sidewalks, driveways, and landscaping Editable Unreal Engine project files and required dependencies Working collision and gameplay compatibility Demonstration of third-person exploration and vehicle driving Integration instructions for my existing project Identification of any third-party assets and additional licensing costs IMPORTANT: This is an actual video game, not a static 3D model, overhead map, or architectural rendering. FUTURE DEVELOPMENT These are only the first two neighborhoods of a much larger planned open-world city. Downtown, additional neighborhoods, businesses, highways, and other districts will be developed separately with future budgets. PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL: Examples of playable Unreal Engine environments you’ve previously developed. Your fixed-price quote and estimated timeline for both neighborhoods. Which existing assets and development tools you would use. Confirmation that you can deliver editable Unreal Engine 5.8.3 files. Please clearly explain what you can realistically deliver within the proposed budget before accepting the project.
