Description
The X-57 Maxwell, NASA's all-electric experimental aircraft built from a modified Tecnam P2006T to demonstrate distributed electric propulsion. It shows the final planned layout: a smooth fuselage with a swept fin and low tailplane, a long slender high wing with twelve small high-lift propellers along the leading edge, and two larger cruise propellers in nacelles at the wingtips.
Technical details: about 241,000 polygons and 110,000 vertices, with 1 plain light-grey material and no image textures; AiZity reduced NASA's 1.4-million-polygon original and added the base material so every download fits and opens cleanly. It is scaled to 10 metres for AiZity's catalogue scale.
The download includes GLB for web viewers and three.js, FBX for Unity, Unreal Engine and Maya, OBJ as a widely supported mesh, and BLEND for Blender. AiZity cleaned up the original (centred, grounded and renamed the parts) and converted it to these formats.
Good for electric aviation lessons, aircraft design studies, propulsion explainers and clean renders ready for your own livery.
License: Public domain, made by NASA (a U.S. government work). Free for personal and commercial use; please credit NASA. NASA logos and insignia are not included, and use must not suggest NASA endorsement.
