About the project

I need a complete high-pressure die-casting tool engineered from scratch for an aluminum part. The scope stretches from first concept sketches right through to manufacturing feasibility, so every stage must be backed by clear MAGMA simulation evidence. The key goals are: • Design an all-new die that meets dimensional and mechanical targets. • Create a runner and gating system tuned for maximum efficiency—short fill times, balanced flow and smooth solidification. • Validate each design iteration in MAGMA; share the full result files as well as a concise report that highlights temperature, velocity, porosity and potential shrinkage zones. • Translate the virtual results into practical recommendations on steel grades, ejector layout, cooling line positions and expected cycle time so the tool can move straight into manufacture without redesign. Deliverables 1. 3D CAD package of the complete die, runners, overflows and venting in STEP or Parasolid format. 2. Simulation report (PDF) plus native MAGMA files. 3. Manufacturing feasibility memo covering machining strategy, tolerances, required presses and projected maintenance intervals. Acceptance criteria • MAGMA outputs show a fully balanced fill with no critical porosity hot-spots. • Runner cross-sections maintain the calculated gate velocity envelope. • All drawing views align with ISO GPS standards and carry GD&T where functionally required. If you have deep HPDC experience and can turn simulation data into shop-floor reality, share a brief note on similar aluminum tools you have released and the MAGMA version you will use.
