Procedural 3D Welding Visualization Engine Project Specification Project Overview Develop a standalone TypeScript / Three.js procedural welding visualization engine. The module must be completely independent. No backend. No database. No authentication. No application-specific code. Only a reusable engineering visualization engine with a documented JSON API. Geometry Engine Everything must be generated mathematically. Parameters: • Joint type • Weld type • Groove type • Plate thickness • Pipe diameter • Wall thickness • Root gap • Root face • Groove angle • Weld reinforcement • Penetration • Material • Welding process • Position Changing one parameter automatically rebuilds the geometry. Layer Planning Unlimited layer plans. Support: • 1–100+ layers • Unlimited beads per layer • Root pass • Hot pass • Filler passes • Cap passes Each bead: • Individual BufferGeometry • Rounded profile • Automatic overlap • Automatic groove filling • Individual ID Welding Sequence Each weld pass stores: • Pass ID • Layer • Bead number • Start point • End point • Travel direction • Torch angle • Work angle • Travel angle Future: Complete weld sequence animation.
