Mid-Century Chronograph CAD Design -- 2
USD 750–1500
About the project
We are launching a premium independent watch brand and require a highly skilled industrial designer or watch engineer to transform a specific design concept into production-ready 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD files (.STEP / .IGS). The target design is a vintage-inspired, mid-century modern mechanical/meca-quartz chronograph with high-end, intricate dial textures and a refined aesthetic. Design Specifications & References (Based on Attached Concept) Case: 316L stainless steel, fully polished finish with classic curved lugs and a smooth, slim bezel. Crystal: High-dome/box crystal (sapphire style) to replicate an authentic vintage silhouette. Dial Layout: Bi-compax (two sub-dials) located at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions. Dial Finish: Multi-textured design featuring a cream/champagne base. The central section connecting the sub-dials must feature a highly detailed, horizontal engraved wave texture (guilloché style), contrasted against a smooth outer tachymeter ring and smooth lower dial portion. Indices & Tracks: Applied rose gold/gold baton markers. The outermost track features a printed tachymeter scale, complemented by a precise secondary minute/second track. Handset: Luminescent rose gold/gold alpha or syringe hands for the main hours and minutes. A contrasting, vibrant blue central chronograph seconds hand. Hardware: Custom-tooled pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock featuring a unique, intricate design motif (we do not want standard, off-the-shelf polished cylinders), paired with a deeply knurled crown at 3 o'clock. Scope of Work Required Technical 2D Drawings: Complete engineering blueprints with precise dimensions, tolerances, and cross-sections (case thickness, lug-to-lug width, dial opening, water resistance seals). 3D Production CAD Model: A manufacturing-ready 3D file (.STEP) mapped to a specific standard movement architecture (e.g., Seiko VK64 meca-quartz or Sellita SW510 manual/automatic). Component Breakdown: Individual component modeling for the case body, case back, bezel, dial layers, indices, hands, and pushers. Realistic 3D Renders: High-fidelity photorealistic renders showing material finishes (polished steel, textured dial, brushed details) for factory review.
