3D Geometric Mould Design & Printing
GBP 20–250
About the project
I need a skilled 3D modeller who can create clean, watertight CAD files for a set of medium-sized geometric forms—specifically spheres, cylinders, pyramids and cones—ranging anywhere between 10 cm and 30 cm in their longest dimension. Once the models are approved, I also want functional moulds printed so that I can cast the shapes in plaster without visible seam lines or trapped air. The job involves: • Modelling each shape to the agreed dimensions and adding the necessary draft angles and registration keys for two-part moulds. • Preparing print-ready STL (or equivalent) files that will work reliably on standard FDM printers. • Producing the physical moulds in a durable material such as PLA, PETG or resin and verifying they fit together securely. I will sign off each model before you move on to printing, and the final acceptance will be a successful test cast that releases cleanly. Please include a brief outline of your preferred software workflow (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, etc.) and your typical print settings so I know what to expect. Shipping costs for the finished moulds can be discussed once the designs are locked.
