About the project

I have a batch of STL meshes coming straight from a 3D scanner. They are all mechanical parts and I need each one rebuilt as a watertight, feature-based solid model in STEP format so I can run accurate simulation and analysis downstream. Accuracy is critical: every hole, fillet, draft angle and surface transition that exists in the scan must appear in the final solid. Tolerances should stay within the typical reverse-engineering envelope of ±0.05 mm (or better if the scan data allows). Please retain native feature history where possible so the models remain editable in common CAD platforms such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX. Deliverable for every part • Fully parametric STEP file generated from the supplied STL • A brief report noting any areas where fidelity to the scan had to be compromised or inferred I can share sample STL files right away so you can confirm feasibility and quote a turnaround time per part. If you regularly work with Geomagic Design X, SolidWorks ScanTo3D, or similar toolchains and are comfortable producing high-precision models with all features intact, you’ll be a great fit.
