Foldable Flower-Inspired Helmet Design

About the project

I am looking for a freelancer to create a conceptual foldable helmet inspired by the geometry of a flower, based on sketches that will be provided. The design should feature 6–8 petal-like segments arranged radially around a central hub, allowing the helmet to expand into a dome-shaped wearable form and fold into a compact configuration for storage. The concept should have an organic, biomimetic appearance and a simple folding mechanism where the petals overlap, rotate, or collapse around the center. The project requires a 3D model created in any CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, Inventor, FreeCAD, etc.) and a PDF containing basic technical drawings, including top, front, side and isometric views, as well as illustrations of the helmet in both open and folded positions. Basic dimensions and material indications should also be included. The concept must use only two materials: one rigid material (PP or ABS) for the structural petal elements and one flexible material (TPU or silicone) for hinges, joints or folding areas. This is an industrial design concept only; no engineering calculations, simulations, manufacturing detailing or certification requirements are needed. Deliverables should include the native CAD file, a STEP or OBJ export, a PDF with technical drawings, and 2–4 simple rendered images. This is an academic/portfolio project with a fixed budget of €40. Delivery is required within 6 hours of project award, so please apply only if you are available to start immediately and can meet the deadline. Sketch references will be provided upon acceptance.
