About the project

This project involves creating a full set of naval-architectural plans for a recreational rigid inflatable boat whose hull will be fabricated entirely from HDPE sheets and pipe. I already have overall length and beam targets in mind; what I need now is your expertise to refine the shapes, scantlings and assembly details so the builder can move straight into production. The brief • Material: high-density polyethylene (not aluminium or GRP) • Look and feel: modern, stylish lines that stand out at the marina • Use case: day-cruising and water-sports, so ride comfort and dry decks are important What you will deliver 1. Hull form development with hydrostatic and resistance calculations 2. Structural drawings showing HDPE plate thicknesses, internal framing and welding methods 3. 3D model (Rhino, SolidWorks or similar) that the cutter can use for nesting 4. Weight estimate and preliminary stability booklet 5. Assembly notes that highlight any HDPE-specific bending or extrusion constraints Send over examples of past RIB or HDPE craft you have taken from concept to yard drawings; I will shortlist based on the relevance and quality of that portfolio. Questions about dimensions, engines or deck layout are welcome once we connect—those details can still be tuned to maximise performance while keeping the design eye-catching.
