About the project

I need a seasoned mechanical design engineer to turn an automotive sheet-metal panel into a fully documented checking fixture. The work starts with a high-fidelity 3D CAD model built in CATIA V5—the software I would like you to use—complete with every component, realistic renderings, and functional details that let manufacturing pick it up without questions. From that model you will generate shop-ready 2D drawings, include a clean bill of materials, and deliver the complete fixture assembly so my tooling supplier can move straight into build. Dimensional accuracy, proper datum selection, and fixture robustness for repeated CMM verification are critical. Deliverables • Native CATIA V5 3D model of the fixture and part • High-resolution renderings for review and sign-off • Fully detailed 2D manufacturing drawings (PDF + CATDrawing) • Structured BOM with standard and off-the-shelf items identified • Packed assembly ready for clash and motion checks I will provide the stamped part data and datum scheme at kickoff and will be available for quick design reviews along the way. If SolidWorks is your stronger package mention it, but CATIA V5 will keep us aligned with the rest of the program. Let me know your lead time for first design review and final release, along with examples of similar fixtures you have delivered successfully.
