About the project

I need an experienced mechanical designer who works natively in SolidWorks to transform my product concept into a complete, manufacturing-ready CAD package. The scope covers 3D modelling, detailed 2D drafting, robust assembly design and the creation of sheet-metal and weldment drawings so every fabrication step is crystal-clear to the shop floor. Because the goal is full product development, I expect models to be fully parametric and organised, with clear configurations where appropriate, so future revisions remain straightforward. All drawings must follow standard GD&T practices and include any critical tolerances, notes, and call-outs required for production. Deliverables: • SolidWorks native files (.sldprt, .sldasm, .slddrw) • Exported STEP/IGES files for vendor compatibility • Fully dimensioned 2D PDFs for each part and assembly • Exploded assembly views with an accurate BOM • Flat-pattern DXF files for sheet-metal components • Weldment cut lists Please outline relevant SolidWorks projects you have completed that involved both complex assemblies and sheet-metal work, and let me know your typical turnaround time once all inputs are supplied. I’m ready to get started as soon as I find the right engineer.
