About the project
Project Title: Custom 3D Surface-Mount Angled Pod Enclosure for 4-in-1 12V Marine Socket Panel Project Overview: I need a 3D-printable surface-mount enclosure box designed for a camper van center console. The housing will hold four individual 12V marine panel components (USB-C charger, 12V cigarette socket, digital voltmeter, and toggle switch) angled up toward the driver. Design & Dimension Requirements: Component Cutouts: Quantity: 4 circular holes (arranged in a 1x4 horizontal row OR a 2x2 grid—designer's choice for clean aesthetic). Hole Diameter: Exactly 29.5 mm (1.16 in) per cutout (slip-fit for standard 29mm marine socket barrels). Hole Spacing: Minimum 44.0 mm center-to-center between holes (to ensure rear 38mm plastic lock-nuts do not bind against each other). Faceplate & Angles: Face Angle: 35-degree upward tilt/slope relative to the flat bottom base. Front Wall Thickness: 3.5 mm. Outer Wall Thickness: 3.0 mm with rounded/chamfered outer corners. Internal Clearance & Depth: Internal Depth: Minimum 60.0 mm of clear space directly behind the front faceplate to accommodate spade terminals and 12 AWG marine duplex wire bend radius. Base & Cable Management: Bottom / Back Base: Completely flat and smooth surface area (for mounting via 3M VHB double-sided tape). Cable Exit: One 15 mm circular hole (or 12mm x 8mm slot) located on the lower rear/bottom corner for main power harness routing. Strain Relief: Include a small 3mm internal zip-tie anchor loop/bridge printed directly inside the box right next to the wire exit port to secure the incoming cable. Deliverable File Formats Required: .STL (High-resolution, ready for 3D printing) .STEP (Editable CAD file for future modifications) This is a fixed budget project of $30 for the deliverable files.
