About the project

I’m preparing a new collection and need a fashion designer who can move seamlessly from analysing fabrics to translating current trends into viable, durable garments. Your first task will be a focused fabric study: help me identify materials that not only read on-trend this season but will also stand up to real-world wear. Durability is the one quality I cannot compromise on, so I’m counting on your eye for weave, weight, and finish to rule out anything that pills, tears, or loses shape too quickly. Once we have a shortlist of fabrics, I’d like you to layer in trend analysis—spot emerging colours, prints, and silhouettes that align with my brand aesthetic—then develop original design concepts around those insights. Deliverables I’ll need from you: • A concise fabric report with sourcing notes and durability observations • A trend mood board that shows how each recommended fabric fits current and near-future style directions • Initial sketches (hand or digital) that evolve into polished design flats/tech packs ready for sampling If you work in Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, or a similar platform, that’s perfect—just share files in an editable format so I can keep everything consistent with the rest of my product development workflow. Timelines and revisions can be flexible; the priority is a clear, research-backed pathway from fabric choice to final design. Let’s create pieces that feel fresh today and still look sharp after countless wears.
