About the project

I have a concept for a multi-component consumer product that must move smoothly from idea to mass production. The assembly is mechanically and electronically complex, so I need help translating high-level sketches and functional requirements into a fully engineered, manufacturable product. The work begins with collaborative concept refinement, then progresses through detailed 3D CAD, tolerance studies, and selection of off-the-shelf versus custom parts. Once the virtual model is locked, I will rely on you to prepare a complete bill of materials, Gerber files where needed, and all fabrication drawings. Rapid prototyping (SLA/FDM, CNC, or sheet-metal as appropriate) will verify form and fit before we freeze the design for tooling. After a successful prototype review, the project shifts to supplier outreach, DFM adjustments, and a pilot build so we can confirm yield, assembly sequence, and packaging. Guidance on compliance and reliability testing for consumer markets is welcome. Acceptance criteria • Fully constrained CAD assembly with part files • Manufacturing drawings plus annotated PDF packs • BOM with costed line items and supplier links • One functional prototype delivered for evaluation • A short report documenting design decisions and recommended production process Proficiency with SolidWorks or Fusion 360, PCB layout tools (if electronics are included), and experience coordinating overseas contract manufacturers will be highly valued. Let’s turn this idea into a shelf-ready product together.
