Children’s Interactive Story Platform
GBP 3000–5000
About the project
I am ready to turn my branded series of children’s books into an engaging online experience. The printed titles will continue to be sold through traditional channels; on the site I want young readers and their families to explore fully animated, 3D-enhanced versions of each story and interact with them in playful, educational ways. Core experience The platform’s main goal is to keep users engaged with interactive content. Every story chapter will be accompanied by: • 3D story sequences that mirror the book’s illustrations • An in-browser reading mode where parents can read aloud while page-flipping animations create the feel of a real book and occasional 3D pop-ups keep children’s attention - Section for Animal characters. Introduction of characters. Drawings of characters, 3D models, and animated effects. - Email service to parents about Books. - Downloadable Screensavers. - Set up subscription for parts of website to read full story versions. The website must build internal SEO for effective listing in Google search. What I need from you • End-to-end website development (front-end, back-end, responsive design) • A simple CMS so I can upload new books, animations and quiz data without touching code. Freelancers should propose a CMS and provide examples of their experience using the recommended system. • Secure user accounts for parents and kids with progress tracking • Smooth performance on desktop, tablet and mobile • Accessibility and child-safety best practices baked in from the start Additional collaboration details: • Files like 3D models and animations will be shared via OneDrive links. • Reviews will take place within Freelancer workspace. Nice-to-haves for later phases—such as e-commerce for book sales or full video streaming—should be architected for but are not part of this first delivery. Acceptance criteria 1. At least one full story loaded, playable, and quiz-enabled on a staging server. 2. Page-flipping animation tested on latest Chrome, Safari, Edge, iOS, and Android browsers. 3. CMS demo showing new story upload, quiz creation, and 3D asset assignment without developer intervention. 4. Source code and documentation handed over upon final sign-off. If you have proven experience with immersive web animation (WebGL, Three.js, Babylon.js) and child-centric UX, I’d love to see your approach and timeline.
