3D Himalayas Distance Animation

About the project

I need a short, polished 3-D animation that zooms in on the Himalayas and clearly communicates two things: the full altitude profile of the range (from the foothills right up to the tallest peaks) and the exact horizontal distance covered. I’d like this visualised from two distinct camera angles so viewers can appreciate the terrain from multiple perspectives. Think of it as a hybrid between a stylised map and a fly-through: contour-accurate relief, realistic shading for the slopes, and an overlaid scale or ruler that dynamically updates to show both elevation and kilometre markers as the camera moves. If you work in Blender, Cinema 4D, After Effects with Element 3D, or a similar pipeline that lets you blend DEM data with photoreal texturing, that’s perfect—just keep the final output in a standard video format I can embed and share. Key deliverables • One high-resolution video file (1080p or better) capturing the full sequence from the first angle • A second render of the same animation from an alternate angle without the cut in a single clip • Source project files so tweaks to labels or colouring can be made later I’ll supply any reference DEM files or coordinates you might need; just let me know your preferred format.
