About the project

I have several paper blueprints for different types of press machines, covering the full range of frames, key mechanical linkages, and their pneumatic / hydraulic systems. I now need these drawings converted and refined in both AutoCAD and SolidWorks so they are ready for manufacturing and future design iterations. Here’s what I need from you: • Accurately model every component shown on the blueprints—including the main structural frame, moving mechanical parts, and all pneumatic-hydraulic circuits—into fully constrained 3D assemblies in SolidWorks. • Generate detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD that match standard machining tolerances and include clear dimensions, BOM callouts, and welding symbols where required. • Update or correct any legacy geometry that no longer meets best-practice design (I will flag known problem areas). • Deliver native .SLDPRT / .SLDASM files alongside editable .DWG sheets, plus STEP files for downstream CAM use. I’ll supply scans of the paper plans and highlight critical dimensions. You’ll keep me updated with screenshots or short review videos at key milestones so we can lock geometry before detailing begins. Final models must open without errors, rebuild cleanly, and be organised in a logical feature tree; drawings should print to scale on A3. If you’re equally comfortable in AutoCAD and SolidWorks and have experience translating hand-drawn press machinery designs into modern, production-ready CAD, I’d like to get started right away. Additional Details: 1. Hydraulic Press Machine Design (Image 1): This is a hydraulic press assembly used in industries for pressing, punching, forming, bending, and assembling components. Main Components: - Hydraulic cylinder - Press frame - Guide columns - Moving ram - Hydraulic power pack - Solenoid valves - Hydraulic pipes - Base plate - Work holding fixture - Sensors - PLC connections Working Principle: 1. Hydraulic pump generates pressure. 2. Oil enters hydraulic cylinder. 3. Cylinder pushes the ram downward. 4. Ram applies force on workpiece. 5. Pressure sensor monitors force. 6. Cylinder retracts after operation. Skills Learned: - Weldment Design - Hydraulic System Design - Assembly Design - Manufacturing Drawings - Hose Routing - Motion Study - Stress Analysis Software: - SolidWorks - CATIA - Inventor - ANSYS Industries: - Automobile - Sheet Metal - Aerospace - Heavy Engineering
