Freelancer Project Title Design a 20-Device Smart Phone Charging Station for 3D Printing (Fusion 360 / SolidWorks / Build123d) Project Description I am looking for an experienced mechanical designer/CAD engineer to design a professional-quality 3D printable charging station for mobile phones. This is not a simple phone holder. The goal is a polished product that can be printed on a Bambu Lab A1 printer and later modified into a commercial-quality design. The designer should have experience with: Fusion 360 (preferred) SolidWorks Onshape Build123d (bonus) Product design Design for additive manufacturing (3D printing) Project Overview Design a charging station that holds 20 smartphones. The station will be used to charge, organize, and identify phones. The final design should be modular, strong, printable, and easy to assemble. Printer Bambu Lab A1 Maximum build volume: 256 × 256 × 256 mm The design should be split into printable pieces if necessary. Phones Design around: Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max with a rugged protective case Approximate design envelope: Width: 86 mm Height: 170 mm Thickness: 18 mm Smaller phones should also fit. Capacity 20 phones Two rows of 10 phones Required Features Phone Cradles Each phone should: Rest at approximately 15° angle Be easy to insert and remove Not rest on the USB connector Be securely supported Have hidden cable routing Cable Management Design hidden cable routing. USB cables should not be visible from the front. Cables should route underneath the station to the rear electronics compartment. Electronics Compartment Rear compartment should hold: One 20-port USB charger Approximate dimensions: 152 mm long 102 mm wide 102 mm tall Include: ventilation cable management removable service cover Touchscreen Provide mounting location for a: ESP32 CYD (Cheap Yellow Display) 2.8" touchscreen The display should be flush mounted in the front of the station. LEDs Each phone position should have: Number location LED illumination Space for WS2812B LED strip or individual LEDs Numbering Each phone slot should have: Number 1–20 Prefer recessed pockets so translucent inserts can be installed. Assembly Prefer modular construction. Examples: Separate phone rows Separate electronics tray Separate rear cover Hidden fasteners preferred. Printing All parts should print without excessive supports. Avoid impossible overhangs. Use fillets where appropriate. Deliverables Required: Fusion 360 source (.f3d) STEP files STL files Assembly drawings Bill of Materials (BOM) Preferred: Parametric design Build123d source code that generates the CAD model Well-organized project structure
