Custom Automotive Piston Design
INR 12500–37500
About the project
I’m gearing up to refine an internal-combustion engine and need a set of high-performance pistons designed from the ground up. The goal is a production-ready model that balances weight, durability, and thermal efficiency while meeting modern emissions and fuel-economy targets. You’ll start with concept sketches or directly in CAD—SolidWorks, CATIA, or a comparable package is fine—then iterate through detailed modeling and stress/thermal simulations. If you prefer ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar FEA tools for the analysis phase, that works for me; just be sure the results clearly demonstrate fatigue life, deformation limits, and temperature distribution under peak load conditions. I’ll provide all baseline parameters (bore, stroke, target compression ratio, max RPM, and material preferences) once we kick off. From there, I expect collaborative check-ins so dimensions, ring land geometry, and wrist-pin placement are dialed in before we lock the design. Deliverables • Fully-parametric 3D CAD files (native + neutral formats) • Manufacturing drawings with tolerances and surface-finish notes • FEA reports covering stress, fatigue, and thermal analysis • Bill of materials with recommended alloys/coatings • A brief design rationale outlining key decisions and trade-offs Final files should be ready for both CNC machining and casting workflows. If you’ve tackled piston or similar engine-component projects before, share a quick example so I can see your approach. Let’s build a piston that makes every combustion cycle count.
