Structural & Artwork Packaging Box Design

About the project
I have a new home-use product that needs a custom box designed from the ground up. First priority is the structural CAD: a dieline that folds quickly, stays compact on the shelf, and feels rock-solid once assembled. Water resistance is essential, so please keep board choice, coatings, and flap overlaps in mind while you engineer the layout. Child-proofing and heavy eco claims are not required this round, but the pack should shrug off kitchen or bathroom splashes without warping. Once the dieline is signed off, I’ll need full outer artwork applied to that exact template. I’m after clean, retail-ready vector graphics that print CMYK, include bleed, safe zones, and clear cutter/crease layers, and export smoothly to my manufacturer’s workflow. Deliverables • CAD dieline files (PDF + DXF or equivalent) showing folds, cuts, glue zones • Assembled 3D mock-up (interactive PDF or OBJ) for internal review • Print-ready artwork (AI + press-quality PDF) matched to the final dieline • A concise spec sheet summarising board stock, finish, and water-resistant treatment Acceptance criteria – Box assembles in under 30 seconds with no tape beyond the glue tab – Passes a simple splash test (light water spray, 5 minutes, no delamination) – Ships flat at minimal footprint; full pack height within 2 mm of my target dimensions – All artwork layers unlocked and editable Additional Requirements: - The box must include partitions for securely holding items: three paddles per section (six sections total), individual compartments for each test tube (75mm length x 12mm base), and H2S vial bottles (80mm length x 30mm base). - A holder for three test tubes to conduct testing must be included. - Support during the production phase is required to address any changes or adjustments needed once the design goes into manufacturing. The designer should assist with terminologies and production requirements to ensure smooth execution. If you’re comfortable moving between SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, Illustrator, or similar—and can manage both the engineering precision and the creative polish—let’s talk timelines and get this box off the sketchpad and onto the shelf.
