About the project

Project Overview I need a complete engineering design of the attached Hydraulic MIG Wire Feeder Boom (HFB360) based on the attached operator's manual and product images. The objective is to develop a fully manufacturable design that can be fabricated in-house without depending on the original manufacturer. The attached manual provides the general arrangement, dimensions, technical specifications, and operating concept of the boom. Scope of Work The freelancer will design the complete machine from scratch, including: 1. Complete 3D CAD Model Full assembly model Individual part models Parametric design Compatible with SolidWorks (preferred), Inventor, or Fusion 360 2. Fabrication Drawings Provide manufacturing drawings for every fabricated component including: Base frame Vertical column Boom arm Pivot assembly Wire feeder mounting plate Reinforcement plates Gussets Brackets Covers Cable support rail Each drawing shall include: Overall dimensions Weld symbols Material specifications Surface finish Tolerances Quantity 3. Machining Drawings Design all machined components including: Shafts Pivot pins Bushes Spacers Locking components Bearing housings Any precision-machined parts Drawings should include: GD&T where required Fits and tolerances Heat treatment (if applicable) Material grade 4. Hydraulic System Design Design the complete hydraulic lifting system including: Hydraulic cylinder selection Manual hydraulic pump Control valve Hydraulic hoses Connectors Oil reservoir Hydraulic schematic 5. Purchased (Buy-Out) Components List Provide a complete Bill of Materials (BOM) for all standard purchased items, including: Bearings Bushes Hydraulic cylinder Manual hydraulic pump Hose fittings Fasteners Grease nipples Circlips Keys Locking pins Standard hardware For each item specify: Standard Manufacturer (preferred) Part number Quantity Specification 6. Bill of Materials (BOM) Provide a complete manufacturing BOM including: Part number Part name Material Quantity Weight Manufacturing process Purchased/Fabricated identification 7. Structural Design Verify the structure for: Safe working load Boom strength Base stability Pivot loading Deflection 8. Manufacturing Ready Package Final deliverables shall include: Complete 3D Assembly Individual 3D Parts 2D Manufacturing Drawings (PDF + DWG) STEP Files Native CAD Files Complete BOM Exploded Assembly Assembly Drawings Fastener List Welding Details Material List Hydraulic Circuit Manufacturing Notes Design Requirements The design should be optimized for: Easy fabrication Laser cutting CNC machining Standard steel sections Commercially available components Cost-effective manufacturing Expected Deliverables SolidWorks/Fusion 360 source files STEP files PDF drawings DWG drawings Excel BOM Assembly instructions Manufacturing-ready documentation
