We have a job for a API 650 Tanks that has some out-of-roundness. Would you be able to do a FEA on it. Please send me a quote for this by today if possible. Latest tomorrow early morning. Below is the scope. Scope of Work – Fitness-for-Service (FFS) Assessment for Tank Out-of-Roundness Objective Carry out a Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessment of the storage tank exhibiting out-of-roundness using the supplied Tank Manufacturer's Data Report (MDR) and 3D Laser Scan Report to determine whether the tank is fit for continued service. Scope Review the supplied Tank MDR, design drawings, inspection records and 3D Laser Scan Report. Assess the measured out-of-roundness against the applicable requirements of API 650 and API 653. Perform a structural assessment using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) (or other suitable engineering analysis where justified) to evaluate the impact of the measured shell deformation on the tank's structural integrity under design operating conditions. Determine whether the tank: Is fit for continued service; Requires operating restrictions (if any); or Requires repair prior to continued operation. If the tank does not meet the acceptance criteria, provide practical repair or remediation options, including the engineering basis, feasibility, and recommendations for restoring the tank to an acceptable condition. Deliverables The Contractor shall provide a report ( In Prominence Format) including: Review of the supplied documentation. Summary of the out-of-roundness assessment. FEA methodology, assumptions and results. Fitness-for-Service conclusion (Pass/Fail). Identification of any operational limitations. Recommended repair/remediation options, where required. Final engineering recommendation for continued service. Applicable Standards The assessment shall be carried out in accordance with the latest editions of: API 653 – Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration and Reconstruction API 650 – Welded Tanks for Oil Storage API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 (where required to support the engineering assessment) Person will need to have doen FEA on Static equipment ( pressure Veseel and Tanks , provide evidence ) and familiar with API 650 requirements.
