3D Render: Braided Compression Packing Model
EUR 8–30
About the project
3D Test Task: Render a Braided Compression Packing (K55) — GLB + PNG + Editable Source Files This is a small paid trial task to help us find the right specialist for a slightly larger follow-up project (4 more technical product pieces, similar budget per piece). Please create a 3D model and render of a short segment of a square-profile braided compression packing (gland packing), based on the attached reference photo (k55-closeup-reference.png). This task is deliberately narrow — we want to see if you can nail: - The diagonal braided/woven texture — it needs to read clearly as a physical braid, not a flat noise texture or a smooth cylinder - The matte black material finish (graphite/rubber-like sheen, see reference) - The overall proportions/shape (square cross-section, cut end visible) Deliverables: - .glb file with materials, textures, and lighting set up — ready to view as-is - High-resolution PNG render - Editable source files we can open ourselves in Blender (free software). Native .blend is ideal, but if you work in other software (SolidWorks, 3ds Max, etc.) that's completely fine — just include an FBX or OBJ export plus the separate texture/material maps, so we're not locked into software we don't own a license for. If this goes well: we have a follow-up project — more technical product illustrations (packing/gland assemblies) to convert to 3D in the same style.
