About the project
I have an early-stage mechanical concept that now needs to be translated into a solid preliminary CAD model for prototyping. The core idea is worked out on paper, but I still need accurate 3D geometry along with basic assembly relationships so I can evaluate fit, clearances, and overall feasibility before moving to detailed design and manufacturing. Here is what I need from you: • A fully parametric 3D model of the mechanism, suitable for rapid edits as dimensions evolve. • Native files from a mainstream platform—SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar—plus neutral STEP/IGES exports. • Simple exploded-view screenshots and a short PDF drawing set highlighting key dimensions and tolerances; nothing exhaustive yet, just enough for a prototype shop to quote. • A brief design note explaining material assumptions and any critical interfaces you notice while modelling. I will provide hand sketches, rough dimensions, and any reference components immediately after kickoff. The deliverable should be ready for my first round of physical prototyping, so accuracy and ease of modification are more important than production-level detailing at this stage. If you’re comfortable iterating quickly and thinking through mechanical interactions, this should be a straightforward project. Let’s get a clean preliminary model in place so I can move on to testing.
