Custom Aviator Sunglasses Design
USD 250–750
About the project
I’m ready to bring a fresh line of aviator-style sunglasses to life and need an experienced product designer to turn my vision into production-ready files. The core of the job is full-cycle design: translating inspiration references into concept sketches, refining those into detailed 3D CAD models, and finalising technical drawings that a manufacturer can follow without guesswork. Key details • Style: classic aviator silhouette with a modern twist • Frame preference: lightweight metal—think stainless steel or an aluminium alloy for strength and comfort (I’m open to creative touches in other materials only if they complement the main metal structure). • Scope: concept ideation, iterative modelling, colour/finish exploration, hinge and nose-pad engineering, lens size confirmation, plus a compact brand mark placement. Deliverables 1. 3–4 initial concept sketches (PDF/JPEG) 2. One refined design chosen for 3D modelling (STEP/IGES + high-res renders) 3. Technical drawings with precise dimensions, BOM and suggested coatings/finishes (DWG/PDF) 4. A short manufacturing notes sheet outlining tolerances and assembly guidance. Acceptance criteria • Accurate aviator geometry that balances face fit and lens coverage • All files ready for direct hand-off to a metal frame manufacturer • Two rounds of feedback incorporated at no extra charge. If you’ve designed eyewear before—especially metal frames—and can show solid CAD and visualisation skills, I’d like to see your portfolio and discuss timelines.
