Architectural Drafting Subconsultant Partnership
hr USD 15–25
About the project
Our licensed architectural practice is underway on a transitional housing facility for a non-profit Christian ministry just outside Spokane, WA. The immediate workload centres on documenting an existing structure and preparing a permit-ready package for an expanded commercial kitchen. Field work, coordination with engineers, and production of clear AutoCAD files and a BIM model (Revit or SketchUp) are all part of the assignment, and ongoing collaboration is anticipated as the ministry continues to develop the campus. Current scope • Existing building drawings – field-verified, delivered in AutoCAD plus a Revit/SketchUp model. • Commercial kitchen remodel – replacement and expansion of the current kitchen, complete with new equipment and hood; code-compliant layout, MEP coordination drawings, and health-department notes included. • Alteration permit & construction set – cohesive sheets that incorporate structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineer drawings, formatted to 2021 Washington State code requirements. • 3D presentation model & rendered views – marketing imagery extracted from the BIM model for donor outreach and community briefings. Preferred tools / format AutoCAD for 2D documentation and either Revit or SketchUp for the BIM; consultant files will be exchanged in compatible formats for cross-discipline coordination. Location requirement Because periodic site verification, potential construction-administration walk-throughs, and rapid‐response field sketches are expected, the subconsultant must be based in Eastern Washington or Northern Idaho. Future opportunities After this package is complete, the ministry plans additional work on the property—pole-barn change-of-use, new housing units, and agricultural buildings—so a successful partnership here can mature into a steady stream of projects. If this scope, location, and toolset aligns with your practice, I look forward to reviewing your relevant samples and discussing schedules for the first site measure.
