Unity Developer for KIDI.LIFE Educational Tablet App
EUR 250–750
About the project
Développeur Unity Senior pour Application Éducative sur Tablette (Jeux, Animations 3D, Vidéos Explicatives & Cartes CAA Interactives). We are developing KIDI.LIFE, a comprehensive, high-end educational tablet application designed for children. We already have a primary team developing the core application (Flutter, UI/UX, AI, and backend). We are now hiring an experienced Unity 3D / Game Developer (or specialized game studio) to create all interactive mini-games, 3D/2D character animations, AAC live cards, and explanatory/instructional videos across all 12 main categories/sections of the app, and seamlessly integrate them into our main Flutter application using Unity as a Library (UaaL). CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS: 12 Comprehensive Categories (Figma-Based): Full alignment with our Figma UI/UX design. You will be responsible for bringing to life all 12 educational categories (including shape sorters, color learning, logic patterns, counting, etc.). Explanatory Videos for EVERY Category: You must produce short, clear, and engaging 2D/3D animated explainer/introductory videos for each and every educational category before the child starts the interactive game. No video footage will be provided; you must create/animate them based on our Figma guidelines. Tablet Native Design: All scenes, UI elements, 3D models, animations, and mini-games MUST be fully responsive and optimized for tablets (iOS & Android). Full Ownership of Game Assets: You are responsible for creating, rigging, animating, and delivering all game assets, 3D models, interactive scenes, and videos strictly aligned with our design system. Seamless Collaboration: You will work directly with our primary Flutter agency via GitHub. FULL SCOPE OF WORK (Unity Modules & Content): 1. Core Educational & Shape/Color Mini-Games (New UI/UX Additions): 360° Rotating Shape Cube: Interactive 3D/pseudo-3D shape sorting cube with full 360-degree rotation, accurate dropzones, and drag-and-drop mechanics. Backpack Packing Game: Drag-and-drop item sorting into a backpack with realistic container animations and drop triggers. Shape Wagon / Train Game: Horizontal moving train/wagons where kids match shapes and colors to build or fill the wagons, featuring fluid particle/visual feedbacks. Counting & Logic Exercises: Fruit counting in baskets, sequence/pattern completions, and interactive balance scale simulations (weight/mass physics). 2. Explanatory / Introductory Animated Videos (All 12 Categories): High-quality short 2D/3D animated videos introducing concepts across all sections (Science, Shapes & Colors, Social Codes, Money, Brain, AAC, Logic, etc.). Strict adherence to Western / FR-CH Geneva social etiquette and international standards for young audiences. 3. Advanced Interactive Mini-Games & Brain Exploration: Maze Game: Interactive pathfinding and intuitive character controls. Robot Assembly & Gardening: Drag-and-drop robot construction with basic visual coding elements, alongside a gardening/watering mini-game. Interactive 3D Brain & Body: Clickable interactive 3D brain model where selecting nodes triggers real-time visual feedback and character movements. 4. Physics & Chemistry Laboratory: Character equipment & dressing (equipping safety glasses, lab coats, and gear). Hands-on virtual science experiments: color mixing, states of matter (solid \rightarrow liquid \rightarrow gas), volcanic eruptions, and chemical reactions. 5. Financial Literacy & Supermarket: Supermarket shopping and checkout counter simulation using localized currencies based on the selected region. 6. AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) & Live Cards: Interactive, dynamic AAC live cards featuring animated avatars expressing real-time emotions, gestures, and visual communication cues. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Proven portfolio in Unity 3D / 2D development specifically built for mobile and tablet platforms. Direct, proven experience integrating Unity modules into Flutter applications (Unity as a Library - UaaL). Strong expertise in 3D/2D rigging, character animation, and short animated video production. Deep understanding of game optimization, asset bundle management, audio/haptic feedback integration, and UI state management (e.g., Great Job! / Try Again screens). Excellent English communication skills and clean Git collaboration workflows. HOW TO APPLY: Please submit your bid along with a link to your portfolio highlighting: 1. Interactive Unity mini-games (especially for kids or educational applications). 2. Concrete examples/case studies of Unity embedded inside Flutter (UaaL).
