About the project
I want to turn the little reference board in my photo into a finished, production-ready design. The goal is to create a compact PCB that lets me program an Atmel “apacea” chip via a QFP socket (no more soldering and desoldering every time). On both the board and the enclosure I need the engraving: AutoHex AB Sverige – Apacea v1 Scope • You will design the PCB layout from scratch, choose a suitable QFP socket footprint, and optimise the form factor so the entire assembly stays compact. • Any mainstream CAD tool is fine—Eagle, KiCad, Altium, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.—as long as the final files are industry-standard. • The plastic case must hug the board closely, allow the socket to protrude for easy chip swaps, and carry the same text on the outside. Keep wall thicknesses and features simple to minimise moulding costs. Deliverables • Complete schematic and PCB layout files • BOM with manufacturer part numbers • Pick-and-place file • Gerber/Drill set ready for fabrication • 3D model of the enclosure (STEP or STL) matched to the PCB • Rendered images of the assembled unit for quick visual confirmation Acceptance criteria 1. QFP socket footprint aligns perfectly with the case opening. 2. Engraving reads exactly “AutoHex AB Sweden – Apacea v1” on both board silkscreen and enclosure. 3. All manufacturing files load without errors in a standard viewer (e.g., Gerbv, FreeCAD). Quote one fixed, all-inclusive price—no after-award surprises, please. I will release payment as soon as the files pass the simple checks above and the text is spelt correctly.
