About the project

I need a compact paper holder that mounts securely on a wall and fits an industrial-style setting. The core goal is to develop a sheet-metal (powder-coated or stainless, whichever best supports the concept) solution that a metal shop can fabricate without guesswork. Scope and flow Milestone 1 – Concept (30 %) • Within 24 hours, present at least one concept sketch or simple 3D mock-up that shows form, mounting method, and basic dimensions. • One round of feedback is included; if the concept direction is off, we may end the project here. Milestone 2 – Final Design (30 %) • Refine the chosen concept into a fully resolved design: precise dimensions, fastener type, material gauge, and finish specification. • Supply rendered views so we can verify aesthetics and ergonomics. • Again, one revision cycle is expected. Milestone 3 – Production Drawings (40 %) • Deliver complete manufacturing files: 3D model (STEP or similar) plus 2D flat patterns with bend lines, hole call-outs, and tolerances. • Files must be ready for a sheet-metal shop to quote and laser-cut/bend immediately. • One final revision round is included. Key notes • Must mount on a standard wall surface. • Industrial look is essential; visible fasteners, crisp edges, or perforated panels are welcome as long as the unit feels sturdy. • Material choice can shift between powder-coated steel and brushed stainless based on structural needs and cost. • Total project duration is two days; staying responsive is critical. If you are comfortable moving quickly from concept to production-ready drawings and have experience designing functional sheet-metal products, I’m ready to start.
