Industrial Sheetmetal Design Expert -- 2

About the project
I’m developing a new set of sheet-metal components for an industrial-machinery project and need someone who can take the design all the way from concept to shop-floor-ready documentation. Your day-to-day work will revolve around sheet-metal cutting and bending, welding and assembly, and the final surface finishing stage. I already have basic sketches and dimensional constraints; what I’m missing is a specialist who can translate those ideas into production-ready CAD, complete with accurate flat-patterns, bend allowances, K-factors, weld symbols, and finishing notes. Because these parts interface with CNC/VMC-machined subassemblies, you’ll also need enough fabrication know-how to flag potential clash points, incorporate GD&T where tolerances are critical, and export CAM-friendly files. Deliverables • 3D CAD models (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) • Flat-pattern DXF/DWG files for laser or water-jet cutting • Detailed fabrication drawings with welding and surface-finish call-outs • Basic BOM for material ordering Acceptance Criteria • All bend lines, radii, and reliefs conform to standard press-brake capabilities • Weld symbols are placed per ISO/ASME standards • Surface-finish specs match the environmental requirements I’ll provide • Files open error-free and are ready for direct import into our CAM workflow If you have a strong track record in industrial sheet-metal design and can hit those deliverables efficiently, let’s talk.
