About the project

I need a full CAD treatment for a standard wall-mounted electrical socket. The core geometry is straightforward, but I will rely on you to advise me on the final footprint, mounting depth, and clearances so the part matches common back-box sizes and complies with typical electrical codes. A child-proof safety mechanism must be integrated into the faceplate; I am open to the classic shuttered pin design or any alternative you can recommend that is manufacturable with injection-moulded plastics. Your work should include: • Parametric 3D model (STEP or SolidWorks native) • Dimensioned 2D drawings suitable for tooling quotes • Exploded view or short animation showing how the safety feature operates • Simple photoreal render to help me present the concept internally The file set needs to be clean, properly named, and easy for another engineer to edit. If you normally work in Fusion 360 or Inventor, that is fine as long as neutral formats are supplied. When we’re done I want to feel confident that a tooling vendor could pick up your package and move straight to DFM without chasing missing information. Also will do conversation on WhatsApp to understand the design and availability on phone call on the basis of different timezone that's -2.5 hrs from India.
