About the project
I need a clean, watertight 3D CAD model of a small prototype boat that I can send straight to a resin or FDM printer. Its core purpose is feeding and medicine dispensing, so the hull must be laid out around a dedicated storage hopper and a straightforward release mechanism I can later refine for dosing rates. Beyond that, the design should already include: • A water-quality sensor section I can mount probes into later • Camera and GPS mounting points with enough flat landings for standard action-cam and GNSS modules • Clear motor and electronics bays with cable channels that stay above the waterline Because I will be testing internal component placement, I need detailed interior and exterior features—not just a shell. Hull halves, service hatches, and any supports you add should align for 3D printing without extra post-processing. Native files in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 plus export as STL are required; STEP would be helpful for cross-software tweaks. Deliverable acceptance: 1. Model opens error-free and manifold in Cura/PrusaSlicer. 2. Major cavities match the rough dimensions I provide after project start. 3. All mounting faces are flat within 0.1 mm and oriented correctly relative to the hull datum. If this sounds clear, let’s get started so I can have the first test print on the water soon.
