Plaxis 3D Tunnel Interaction Model
CAD 1500–3000
About the project
I need a precise Plaxis 3D model that captures soil-structure interaction for a tunnel driven entirely through clay. The core objective is to simulate how the lining, excavation sequence and surrounding ground mutually influence one another, giving me reliable predictions of deformation, lining forces and surface settlement. You will receive bore-log data, in-situ test results and an outline of the tunnel geometry, construction stages and support details. From these inputs I expect you to: • build the full 3D geometry, apply appropriate boundary conditions and assign constitutive models that reflect soft to stiff clay behaviour; • stage the excavation and support exactly as specified so we can study time-dependent ground response; • run sensitivity checks on key parameters I highlight (e.g., undrained shear strength, creep) to bracket realistic outcomes; • export plots, graphs and a short explanatory memo that summarises displacements, bending moments, and any critical safety factors. Please send back the .p3d file, screenshots of the final mesh, and a concise PDF report so I can reproduce or tweak the analysis later. If you typically rely on UDSMs or have experience calibrating Hardening Soil or Soft Soil Creep models, let me know so we can incorporate those straight away.
