About the project
I need a complete 3D survey of a building located on a mine site in Central West NSW. You will supply both the scanner and the operator; a freestanding, tripod-based unit is preferred, and I have a strong preference for a Leica BLK360. If you wish to propose an equivalent tripod solution, note the expected accuracy and coverage in your bid. Scope of work • Travel to site (please show this either as a separate mobilization line item or roll it into a single figure—just make your approach clear). • Scan the entire internal volume, capturing building structure, roof trusses / purlins, columns, walls, floor, the overhead crane monorail and support steel, plus all major fixed plant such as tanks, pumps, motors and pipe runs for spatial reference. • Register and clean the data so I receive one properly aligned point cloud free of stray noise. • From that cloud, create a 3D model that includes structural elements and the major equipment only; minor fixtures can be ignored. Deliverables 1. Registered point cloud in E57 or RCP format (both, if possible). 2. 3D model in Revit (.rvt) or open-standard IFC showing structural steel, walls, slab and key equipment with correct georeferenced positioning. 3. A short PDF report confirming scanner used, scan settings, registration error and any areas that could not be captured. Acceptance criteria • Point cloud registration error ≤ 2 mm across the space. • All requested objects visible and measurable in both the cloud and the model. • File naming and coordinate system documented in the report. Please include an outline schedule, any site requirements (power, access time, PPE) and how you intend to handle travel and accommodation costs.
