Freelance Injection Mould Tool Room Coordinator – 32-Cavity Injection Mould We are looking for an experienced Plastic Injection Mould Tool Maker / Tool Room Coordinator based in or near Balanagar, Hyderabad, on a freelance/project basis. Project Requirement We are developing a 32-cavity plastic injection mould. The complete mould will be designed by our mould designer in 3D CAD with manufacturing drawings and material specifications. We will purchase the required mould materials and components and give the machining work to different job-work vendors in the Balanagar area. Your Role We need an experienced person to follow up and technically coordinate the complete mould manufacturing process as per the approved 3D mould design and drawings. Most follow-up can be done by phone/WhatsApp. However, when required, you should be able to visit the machining/job-work workshop in Balanagar to check or coordinate important technical work. You will be responsible for: * Understanding the complete 3D mould design and manufacturing drawings. * Following up with CNC/VMC, EDM, Wire EDM, grinding, drilling and other machining vendors. * Coordinating machining work according to the mould drawings. * Checking important dimensions and machining progress. * Communicating technical issues to the mould designer and coordinating corrections. * Following up for all mould components and inserts. * Coordinating mould fitting, matching and finishing. * Supporting and supervising complete mould assembly. * Checking that the mould is properly assembled as per the design. * Supporting mould trial and identifying any corrections required. * Following the project until the mould is ready for production. Important This is NOT a full-time job and NOT a CAD designer position. We already have/are arranging the 3D mould design. We need a practical and experienced mould/tool-room person who understands how a mould is manufactured from drawings and can coordinate machinists and finally assemble the mould. We have our own supervisor who will also coordinate the project. The person should preferably be located near Balanagar, so that occasional workshop visits are convenient. Required Experience * Practical Plastic Injection Mould experience * Mould fitting and assembly experience * Tool-room experience * CNC/VMC, EDM and Wire EDM knowledge * Ability to read mould manufacturing drawings * Experience coordinating machining/job-work vendors * Experience with mould matching and assembly * Mould trial/troubleshooting experience * Multi-cavity mould experience preferred * Ability to understand 3D mould design and convert it into practical manufacturing work Payment Project-based fee: ₹7,000 This is for technical follow-up and support throughout the mould development process, including necessary coordination and final mould assembly support.
