About the project

Title: Precast Concrete Revit/CAD Drafter – Panel Shop Drawings & BIM | Australian Project Description: We are seeking an experienced Precast Concrete / Structural CAD or Revit Drafter to assist with the development of a modular precast concrete building system in Australia. The first project is Shed 01, a precast concrete shed/workshop that will be used to develop and prove a standardized panel system for future projects. This is not a generic architectural drafting/rendering job. Applicants should preferably have previous experience with precast concrete, tilt-up concrete, structural shop drawings, panel schedules, reinforcement detailing or BIM modelling. INITIAL PANEL CONCEPT • Nominal panel width: 2400 mm maximum • Nominal thickness: 150 mm • Typical height: approximately 2700–3000 mm • Modular/repeatable panel geometry • Australian construction project INITIAL SCOPE Prepare preliminary drafting and shop-detailing documentation including: • 2D precast panel elevations • Panel dimensions and identification • Panel layout and numbering system • Panel schedule • Door/window/opening locations • Corner and panel-junction details • Wall-to-slab/footing interface drawings • Wall-to-roof interface drawings • Preliminary connection layouts • Preliminary lifting/bracing locations • 3D Revit/BIM model • Coordinated A3 drawing package IMPORTANT – ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITY The drafter is not being engaged to provide Australian structural engineering certification. Structural calculations, reinforcement design, lifting design, bracing design and final structural connections will be reviewed/designed/certified separately by an appropriately qualified Australian structural engineer/RPEQ where required. Your role is to produce accurate preliminary layouts, BIM models and shop-detailing documentation for engineering review and subsequent revision. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Applicants with experience in any of the following will be strongly preferred: • Precast concrete shop drawings • Tilt-up concrete panels • Concrete reinforcement detailing • Panel schedules • Revit Structure • Tekla Structures • AutoCAD • BIM coordination • Australian construction projects • Familiarity with AS 3600 • Familiarity with AS 3850 DELIVERABLES • Native .DWG files • Native .RVT model • A3 PDF drawing set • Panel schedule • Editable source files • Two revision rounds following engineering/client review WHEN APPLYING, PLEASE PROVIDE: Examples of precast or tilt-up concrete shop drawings you have personally completed. Examples of panel schedules/details. Software you use — Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD, etc. Whether you have worked on Australian projects. Your experience with AS 3600 and/or AS 3850. Fixed-price quotation for the initial Shed 01 drafting package. Estimated delivery timeframe. Number of revisions included. Please do not submit architectural rendering examples only. We specifically want structural/precast drafting experience. This initial project may lead to ongoing work developing additional standardized shed configurations and future precast residential building prototypes. All project drawings, models and source files produced under the engagement are to be supplied to the client upon completion/payment.
