About the project

We're looking for a skilled outreach specialist to help us identify and collect pre-existing, non-confidential CAD/engineering design data for AI training. Our goal is to connect with companies, manufacturers, engineering organizations, research groups, or other data owners who possess large archives of this data and are open to licensing it. **Focus Areas:** - 3D CAD parts and assemblies - Engineering/manufacturing drawings - BOMs (Bill of Materials) - Original and revised designs - Design iterations/change history - FEA/CFD/simulation data (if available) - Testing/validation results - Documentation explaining design changes **Key Objectives:** 1. Target T3/T4-level engineering data showing meaningful design evolution supported by testing/manufacturing constraints or engineering reasoning. 2. Strictly ensure only legally licensable data, excluding any confidential or IP-restricted content. 3. Begin by identifying: archive size, type of available CAD data, ownership/licensing status, and potential pricing structures. **Expectations from Freelancer:** - Experience in outreach/negotiation or the CAD/engineering field is preferred. - Ability to identify organizations with historical archives of CAD/design data. - Initial contact with potential providers to verify archive details and licensable content. - Strong communication skills to pursue bulk licensing discussions if feasible.
