Looking for passionate individual/team for a motorcycle accessory idea
INR 37500–75000
About the project
I’m working on an early-stage idea for a motorcycle accessory aimed at solving a practical problem faced by riders and pillions in India. I have the initial concept, sketches, and a fairly good understanding of the problem. I’m now looking for someone who can help turn that into a well-designed, functional product and eventually a manufacturable solution. The work would broadly involve: Reviewing and refining the initial concept Developing 3D CAD and engineering designs Advising on materials, dimensions, strength and durability Building and iterating prototypes through 3D printing, CNC, or other suitable methods Testing and refining the product on actual motorcycles Considering Indian road, weather and usage conditions Eventually preparing the design for manufacturing, including basic BOM and cost considerations I’m not looking for someone to simply complete a CAD assignment and move on. I’m looking for someone genuinely interested in working through the product development process, iterating on the idea and potentially continuing with the project as it develops. You don’t necessarily need to have every skill listed above yourself. If you’re strong in mechanical/product design and can collaborate with others for prototyping, testing or manufacturing, that works too. Ideal background Mechanical engineering / industrial design / product development Experience with SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar CAD tools Understanding of materials, manufacturing and mechanical design Ideally some experience designing physical consumer products or automotive/motorcycle components Comfortable with prototyping and real-world testing I’m keeping the product details limited publicly for now. If this sounds interesting, send me a short introduction along with a few relevant projects you’ve worked on and what role you could take in developing a product like this. I’m primarily looking for the right person to work with, not just the cheapest freelancer. Also, please don't mind the budget mentioned here, it is a rough estimation, but if you are genuinely interested, we could work for the longer run. Peace!
