About the project
I’m putting together a compact, fold-away tabletop and want it built entirely from wood. I haven’t locked in a species yet, so please feel free to recommend something sturdy, lightweight, and budget-friendly that will look good once finished. Here’s what I need from you: • A space-saving design that folds flat without visible gaps and sits level when opened. • Dimensioned drawings and a clean 3D model (any mainstream CAD format + PDF) showing both folded and unfolded positions. • A complete bill of materials listing the hinges, fasteners, and any surface hardware so I can source everything locally. • A short assembly guide that a reasonably handy person could follow step by step. If you also handle fabrication, let me know your lead time and shipping options; otherwise, I’m happy with design-only. Accuracy, smooth folding action, and a professional presentation of the files are the key acceptance points for this project.
