About the project
We are looking for an experienced Structural / Steel Structure Design Engineer on a freelance basis to design a combined warehouse/industrial steel structure. Project: * HR Building: approx. 16.0 × 28.0 m = 448 m² * Covered Gas Storage Area: approx. 10.4 × 28.0 m = 291 m² * Total covered area: approx. 739 m² * Overall building: approx. 26.4 × 28.0 m Scope of Work The selected engineer will be responsible for the complete structural design, including: * Structural analysis and design of the complete steel frame. * Columns, rafters/beams, bracing, purlins, girts and secondary steel. * Structural connection design — including bolted/welded connections as applicable. * Design of base plates and anchor bolts. * Wind, dead, live and other applicable design loads. * Structural stability and serviceability checks. * Complete structural calculation report / calculation note. * Structural GA drawings, plans, elevations and sections. * Steel member schedule and connection details. * Structural model and calculation files. Important: We are looking for an engineer who can deliver a complete engineered design, including calculations and connection design — not only a 3D structural model or basic member sizing. Design Requirements * Design to comply with applicable Qatar building regulations, codes and approved standards. * Experience with Qatar projects is highly preferred. * STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Tekla Structural Designer or equivalent software is acceptable. Required Experience Please apply only if you have proven experience in: * Steel warehouses / industrial buildings. * Portal frame steel structures. * Structural steel connections. * Complete structural calculation notes. * Projects in Qatar or GCC. Please Include in Your Proposal 1. Similar steel structure projects you have designed. 2. Your design software. 3. Your experience with Qatar/GCC codes and projects. 4. Estimated design duration. 5. Your fixed fee for the complete scope. Drawings will be provided to the selected engineer. Preference will be given to engineers who can provide a complete calculation package and design drawings ready for consultant review/approval.
