Interactive Cat Toy CAD Redesign
GBP 20–250
About the project
What I Need (Initial Stage) Internal structure redesign only — outer form stays similar. Changes include: Integrated internal fabric tunnels & pathways for paw access & enrichment Strategic viewing/access holes so cats can see & interact with the moving ball Built-in catnip/scent pockets — removable/replaceable design Flexible, shape-retaining bounce-back frame — critical: must squash & instantly spring back (solves the #1 issue of the original collapsing when pounced on) Ensure all components fit & move freely with the existing motorised inner ball What I Provide - Clear reference photos of the existing toy + inner ball - Exact dimensions & measurements - Full description of materials, problem points & desired improvements - Sketches/notes of the new features Deliverable for THIS Stage - 3D CAD model + concept visual showing the updated internal structure, component layout, and how everything fits together - Clear enough to review, refine, and send to a manufacturer Who I’m Looking For Experience with soft goods, flexible materials, toys, pet products, or collapsible/elastic designs Strong in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, etc.) Understanding of manufacturability for fabric + flexible plastic/TPE assemblies Please do NOT apply if you only do hard-surface / rigid plastic designs — flexibility & shape memory is key here! Please Include in Your Proposal - Examples of similar work — especially soft goods, flexible structures, pet products, or consumer goods - Fixed price for this initial concept + 3D CAD stage - Estimated timeline - Any questions you have about the design
