About the project

Game Developer Wanted — Original 3D Word-Adventure Prototype I’m looking for an experienced game developer or small indie team to build a playable prototype for an original game called Skull Smart. Skull Smart isn’t a traditional word-puzzle game. It’s a third-person, explorable word-game world where language is physically integrated into the environment. Players discover challenges, collect letters, interact with words and use language to change the world around them. The visual direction is cartoony street art/graffiti — intelligent, silly, weird and slightly rebellious. The first prototype will be approximately 10–15 minutes and take place in a small grayscale City environment. It will include character customization, exploration and three playable word games: Building Blocks, Rhyme Time and Opposites Attract. The prototype ends as the player approaches a mysterious arched bridge leading toward the next part of the world. I already have the game concept, prototype flow, gameplay rules, character-creation concept, visual references and a detailed prototype design brief. I’m not looking for someone to redesign the game. I need someone who can translate the existing vision into a playable experience while collaborating with me on technical implementation. The initial prototype can target PC, but the game is ultimately intended for PC and mobile (iOS/Android), so architecture and controls should be developed with future mobile support in mind. I’m looking for someone with experience in: * Unity, Unreal, Godot or another appropriate 3D engine * Third-person character movement/camera * Stylized 3D environments * UI and interactive puzzle/game systems * PC development, preferably with mobile experience as well * Taking an existing game-design document from concept to playable prototype Ownership is important: Skull Smart and its existing concepts/designs remain mine. Any agreement must clearly address ownership of commissioned assets, source code/project files and deliverables. Please send examples of relevant games/prototypes you’ve built and tell me which engine you recommend, why you recommend it for Skull Smart, your estimated timeline, proposed milestones, and a fixed-price estimate for the prototype. I’m especially interested in someone who understands that the goal isn’t simply to make three word games work—the prototype needs to make the words feel like part of the world.
