About the project
I have a series of low-altitude UAV flights capturing an active construction corridor that carries both power lines and underground pipelines. I need the raw footage transformed into an engineering-ready data package that lets my team track progress week by week, review utility alignments, and update our design drawings without returning to the field. Here is what I expect: • UAV aerial video processing – stabilize, georeference, and clip the footage, then overlay linework so every frame clearly shows current works, property limits, and the utility centre-lines. The processed video must serve as a visual progress log for internal reports. • 2D CAD drawing synthesis – extract accurate plan-view information from the video and any stills you generate, then draft clean DWG files (layered and to scale) reflecting earthworks, new structures, and existing features. These drawings will plug straight into our existing AutoCAD civil templates. • Power grid & pipeline route mapping – from the same data set, produce continuous alignments of overhead and buried utilities, tagged with chainage and key attributes so we can import them into Civil 3D or QGIS for clash checks and quantity take-offs. Acceptance criteria 1. All outputs must align to the provided ground control points (GCPs) with ±5 cm horizontal accuracy. 2. CAD layers follow our naming convention; I will supply a simple LISP for validation. 3. Deliverables: georeferenced MP4, orthomosaic TIFF, DWG (2018 format), and a shapefile/GeoPackage of the utility routes. 4. A brief PDF walkthrough (10 pages max) illustrating the methodology and showing one sample chainage comparison between two capture dates. I will make GCPs, flight logs, and a previous survey available once we agree on the workflow. Looking forward to seeing how you can turn aerial pixels into precise engineering information.
