Kinetic & Mechanical Feasibility Analysis
USD 10–30
About the project
I’ve completed the full 3D CAD model for a new mechanical concept, I want to evaluate the kinetic and mechanical feasibility for this novel mechanical concept. 1. Kinematic Feasibility (Motion & Interaction) This ensures the mechanism moves as intended without interference. Motion study — simulate joints, constraints, velocities, accelerations Collision detection — verify no parts collide during full range of motion Degrees of freedom analysis — confirm the mechanism isn’t over‑ or under‑constrained Tolerance stack-up — evaluate how manufacturing tolerances affect motion Dynamic behavior — check inertia, backlash, vibration tendencies Outcome: confirm the mechanism can move through its intended cycle smoothly and repeatedly. 2. Mechanical Feasibility (Strength & Durability) This validates whether the parts can survive real-world loads. Static FEA — stress, strain, deformation under expected loads Fatigue analysis — cyclic loading, endurance limits Buckling checks — for slender or compressive members Material selection review — verify yield strength, hardness, wear resistance Thermal effects — expansion, heat-induced stress if relevant Safety factor calculation — typically 1.5–3.0 depending on application Outcome: confirm the parts won’t break, deform, or wear prematurely.
