Curved Keystone Wall Design

About the project

My backyard sits on hilly, uneven ground and I want to carve out a level, usable space by installing a curved retaining wall built with Keystone blocks. To proceed, I need a full set of drawings and notes that I can hand straight to my contractor and, if required, the local permit office. Here is what I need you to prepare: • Plan, elevation, and cross-section views showing the exact curvature, wall height changes along the run, block pattern, footing depth, and drainage layer. • Grading plan that illustrates existing versus proposed contours so the new wall clearly levels the yard. • Soil-erosion and runoff-control details, including filter fabric, back-drain piping, weep holes, and any swales or temporary measures required during construction. • Material schedule calling out the specific Keystone block model, cap units, geogrid lengths, and backfill type. • Basic structural notes or calculations (lateral earth pressure, surcharge assumptions, bearing capacity) suitable for an engineer’s sign-off if the city asks. • A concise installation sequence so the builder understands excavation, geogrid placement, compaction, and final landscaping. Drawings may be produced in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar; please deliver both PDF sheets for review and the editable CAD files. Keep dimensions in feet and inches, and follow standard architectural line weights so everything prints cleanly at 24 × 36. Once I receive the initial set, I will mark up any tweaks to the curve radius or step-downs; after that, I’ll need the final package within a few days.
