About the project
I need a custom box that can be printed on a standard consumer 3-D printer and go straight into use as product packaging. The final model has to be attractive on the shelf, protect the contents during transport, and print reliably without excessive supports or post-processing. Please tell me, in a detailed project proposal, how you would approach: overall box concept, hinge or closure system, wall thickness, draft angles for easy release from the build plate, and any clever space-saving features you recommend. I also want to know which software you will use and how you will verify printability before delivering the files. Deliverables • Production-ready 3D file (STL or STEP) • A quick print-setup guide that notes orientation, layer height, and infill suggestions • Render or screenshot that shows the assembled box from multiple angles If you have past designs that show crisp edges, snap-fit joins, or living hinges, feel free to reference them, but the main thing I’ll evaluate is the clarity and completeness of your proposal.
