Low-Poly 3D Fantasy Reaper Creation
GBP 20–250
About the project
3D Artist & Animator Needed — Lunia-Style Skeletal Reaper We are looking for a skilled 3D character artist and animator to create one original, low-poly, game-ready skeletal reaper creature for a Lunia-style project. Although the creature has a compact, spider-like design with fewer legs than a full spider monster, it will be used at boss-scale in game—approximately 6.5–7 metres tall. It should therefore feel threatening and imposing while remaining faithful to the original Lunia low-poly, hand-painted visual style. We will provide Lunia reference assets at the start of the project, including .blend and .glb models with textures, plus a Lunia boss model for scale, detailing, materials, and style reference. Creature brief Create an original dark-fantasy skeletal reaper creature with: A skull-like head with menacing glowing eyes. A skeletal torso and elongated arms. Clawed hands, blade-like forearms, or small scythe-style weapons. A compact spider-like lower body. Four or six legs, rather than the large number of legs used by a full spider creature. A distinctive silhouette that remains readable and intimidating at boss size. Low-poly geometry with most visual detail created through hand-painted textures. Proportions, materials, colours, and detailing that fit alongside original Lunia assets. The creature may take broad inspiration from dark-fantasy anime skeletal reapers, but it must be a fully original design. Do not directly copy, trace, rip, or reproduce any copyrighted character, model, texture, or animation. Technical specifications Requirement Specification Art style Original Lunia-style low-poly fantasy creature In-game scale Approximately 6.5–7 m tall Blender scale 1 Blender unit = 1 m Polygon budget Target: approximately 8,000 triangles Maximum polygon budget 10,000 triangles maximum Texture style Hand-painted diffuse texture Texture resolution 512 × 512 preferred; 1024 × 1024 permitted if required for key detail such as scythes or the skull Additional maps No normal maps or specular maps Animation frame rate 30 fps Animation movement In-place animations only; no root motion Delivery formats .blend source file and .glb export The final model must match the relatively low-density visual style of Lunia. Even large Lunia bosses use modest triangle counts and rely heavily on hand-painted texture work, so an overly dense or modern high-detail model will not be suitable. Required animations The creature must be fully rigged and supplied with clearly named, separated animation clips. Animation Description Idle Smooth looping idle with subtle head, arm, torso and leg movement Walk/Crawl Looping ground movement suitable for a spider-like creature Run/Fast Crawl Faster looping ground movement Basic Attack Quick claw, blade, or scythe-style attack Heavy/Special Attack Stronger lunge, spin, slam, or similar reaper-style move Hit Reaction Brief damage or stagger reaction Death Full death animation Ceiling/Rooftop Drop Entrance Dramatic ambush entrance: starts above the gameplay space, drops from a rooftop or ceiling, lands heavily, then transitions into combat idle Drop entrance animation The ceiling/rooftop drop should be an original animation that captures the dramatic feel of an anime monster ambush without copying an existing animation. Requirements: Begin in a compact hanging, crouched, or folded pose. Fall from an elevated, off-screen position. Include natural limb movement during the descent. Land with a strong sense of weight and impact. Include a brief recovery or body-settle movement after landing. Finish in a threatening combat-ready pose. Transition cleanly into the idle animation. Keep the movement in place where possible, with no root motion. Deliverables Please provide: One finished original Lunia-style skeletal reaper model. Fully rigged character with cleanly named bones. The complete animation set listed above. UV map and hand-painted diffuse texture. Editable texture source files where applicable. Original Blender source file: .blend. Game-ready GLB export: .glb. Clearly named and separated animation clips. Organised project files, including textures and exports. Preview renders, a turntable, or an animation-preview video before final delivery. One reasonable revision round. Quality requirements Clean, optimised real-time topology. Approximately 8,000 triangles, with an absolute maximum of 10,000 triangles. Four or six legs only. Correct scale based on 1 Blender unit = 1 metre. Approximately 6.5–7 m tall in-game. Hand-painted Lunia-style texture work rather than high-density geometry. Correct pivots, orientation, and in-place animation setup. Clearly named objects, bones, materials, textures, and animation clips. No ripped, stolen, AI-generated-from-copyrighted-assets, or unlicensed third-party content. Full usage rights for the original commissioned model, texture, rig, and animations. Please include with your proposal Examples of low-poly fantasy creatures, skeletal enemies, undead monsters, or hand-painted game assets. Examples of character rigging and creature animation work. Any examples of drop, landing, ambush, hanging, or dramatic enemy entrance animations. Confirmation that you can work in Blender and deliver both .blend and .glb files. Confirmation that you can follow the triangle budget, texture limits, 30 fps, and in-place animation requirements. Your fixed-price quote.
