3D CAD Smart Pet Feeder
USD 250–750
About the project
I’m developing an automatic pet feeder that not only meters out kibble but also keeps drinking water chilled with a Peltier module. I need a complete 3-D CAD package that I can send straight to the printer and later assemble without surprises. Scope – Kibble hopper with an internal mechanism sized for a small 12 V gear-motor (shaft centre and screw/auger or wheel design up to you, provided it meters reliably). – Water reservoir that nests a TEC1-12706 + heatsink/fan and routes water through a 12 V mini submersible pump before it reaches the bowl. Please allow realistic space for wiring, thermal paste, insulation and airflow. – Main body and removable front panel shaped to accept an STC-1000 LED temperature controller, its buttons and probe wiring, all flush-mount for a clean look. – Base platform that locks two standard stainless-steel bowls (≈160 mm diameter) in place and hides non-slip pads underneath. – All printed parts in black PETG; wall thickness and bridging angles must respect typical FDM limits. Everything has to fit on a 220 × 220 × 250 mm print bed. Preferred file set 1. Native CAD (SolidWorks or Fusion 360) 2. Exported STLs organised per component 3. Exploded view for assembly and a short PDF with critical dimensions/tolerances Acceptance criteria • TEC module pocket aligns perfectly with its heatsink and fan, leaving 1 mm clearance all round. • Pump chamber and water lines are fully watertight after standard PETG post-processing. • No single printed piece demands support structures that exceed 60 ° overhang. • Auger or wheel dispenses a repeatable 25 g of 8 mm kibble per activation at 12 V, ±10 %. Please lean on prior experience designing print-ready enclosures that combine electronics, moving parts and food-contact areas; I’ll review similar work samples when selecting the designer.
