About the project

I plan to merge my existing closet, laundry room, toilet room, and linen closet into two carefully re-imagined areas. The larger space becomes a multi-purpose main room closet that must contain: • a stackable laundry unit • a fully functional dog-washing station • a built-in makeup vanity Above all, the layout has to squeeze every cubic inch of storage out of the footprint—hanging bars, drawers, and shelving should feel generous yet organized. The second zone will be a compact, self-contained toilet room. Plumbing reroutes are possible if they unlock better storage or circulation, so feel free to reposition walls or fixtures as long as structural integrity is respected. Aesthetic direction Think modern and natural: warm earth-tone finishes, clean mid-century lines, and materials that age gracefully. The dog wash should integrate seamlessly, not look like an afterthought, and the vanity needs flattering task lighting. Deliverables 1. Scaled floor plan and reflected ceiling plan (DWG/PDF) 2. Elevations and millwork details for cabinetry, vanity, and dog wash 3. 3D views or SketchUp/Revit model illustrating materials and lighting 4. Fixture, material, and hardware schedule focused on space-efficient solutions 5. Notes on any structural changes and rough plumbing/electrical locations Acceptance criteria • Clear zoning of laundry, grooming, and clothing storage with no wasted pockets of space • Minimum hanging length equal to current closet plus 20 % growth capacity • Dog wash sized for a medium-large breed, with splash containment • Vanity equipped with at least two dedicated storage drawers and dimmable lighting • All documents dimensioned and ready for contractor pricing I will supply current measurements, photos, and any as-built drawings I have.
