About the project

I am developing a new ladies ring that marries vintage detailing with a sleek modern silhouette. The entire piece will be crafted in gold, and I’d like to explore layouts that showcase a mix of diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds in a balanced, harmonious setting. The process I have in mind begins with concept sketches, then moves into a refined 3D CAD model so we can review stone placement, band profile, and overall proportions before committing to the final production drawing. Because I plan to offer full personalization later, an editable CAD file is essential; it should allow quick resizing or gemstone swaps without redrawing from scratch. Realistic renders in both hand-model and clean studio views will help me present options to clients and gauge early feedback. Deliverables • 2–3 initial hand or digital sketches exploring vintage-inspired motifs blended with contemporary lines • 1 finalized 3D CAD model (compatible with Rhino, MatrixGold, or similar) • High-resolution photorealistic renders: at least four angles plus a lifestyle shot on a hand • Technical drawing with exact measurements, gemstone specs, and gold weight estimate • Editable source files for future custom variations Acceptance criteria: dimensions match the technical drawing within ±0.1 mm; gemstone seats align with industry tolerances; final renders clearly depict gold color and each gemstone’s hue.
